Authentic Horse Trekking in the Altai mountains Itinerary
Your adventure starts with a warm pick-up in Ulaangom. From there, we’ll drive to the Yamaat Valley in the Kharkhiraa Turgen Mountains, where your wilderness camp will be waiting.
Today is all about getting comfortable on horseback. You’ll learn how to saddle your horse, stay safe, and guide your steed. Spend 2-3 hours riding to build confidence and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Ride to the Erees Pass, a mountain route with 13 sharp turns or 13 times switchback. This challenging terrain offers stunning views and a real adventure. Afterward, camp in a beautiful area surrounded by rocks and canyons.
The Many Lakes area is at 2650m altitude and a summer home for nomadic people. The weather here can be unpredictable, and it may even snow in July. You’ll camp near a nomadic family and have a chance to visit them and experience their lifestyle.
Ride to Bor Am, a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. This is the highest point of your trip at 2900m. Camp by the lake and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
