We leave Ulaanbaatar early in the morning and drive to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. Here, you will see the famous Turtle Rock and visit the peaceful Aryapala Monastery, also known as the Meditation Temple. The temple is built on a mountain, and the long stairs leading up to it look like an elephant’s trunk.

We will cross the Terelj River and spend the night in a traditional ger (yurt), giving you a taste of Mongolian nomadic life.

On the second day, we will leave the family camp and pack our kitchen and bags onto the horses. We will start riding and cross the Khavirga Pass, continuing through the quiet wilderness.

It will be a long day of riding, so you may feel a bit tired by the end of the day. In the evening, we will set up our tents and camp under the stars. But don’t worry — the rest of the adventure is still waiting for us.

By the late afternoon or early evening, we will reach the beautiful Khagiin Khar Lake, often called the “Pearl of the Taiga.” This area is part of the southern edge of the Siberian taiga forest, making the landscape very unique and wild.

We will set up our camp by the lake, with this stunning view all around us. The morning at the lake is peaceful and breathtaking, a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. If the conditions are good, we can also gallop a little along the lakeshore.

On the fourth day, we ride back along the same beautiful trail through the taiga forest. By the afternoon, we will reach the area below Khavirga Pass, where we will set up our tents for the night.

In the evening, we will relax around a campfire, enjoy the quiet wilderness, and share stories after a long but rewarding day of riding.

On the final day of riding, we will pack up the horses and return to the family camp. We’ll spend the night in gers (yurts) and enjoy a special experience cooking traditional Mongolian dishes with the local women. This will be a warm and memorable evening, giving you a taste of everyday nomadic life before the last day of the trip.

On the final day of the trip, we will leave the countryside and drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Along the way, we will stop at the iconic Chinggis Khaan Statue complex, where you can take photos and learn a bit about Mongolia’s history. After the visit, we continue the drive back to the city, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure.
