Day 01 :

Day 1: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, take a short city tour visiting Gandan Monastery and the Museum of National History, Narantuul Black market. Prepare for the upcoming trip.

Day 02 :

Baga Gazriin Chuluu Mountain

Drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a granite rock formation in Dundgobi province. The highest peak in the area, Baga Gazariin Uul, is 1,768 meters high. Enjoy hiking and rock climbing in the area.

Day 03 :

Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park

Drive to South Gobi and visit Yol Valley (Eagle Valley) in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountains. This canyon has narrow paths, and the cliffs block sunlight, keeping the rivers frozen year-round. You’ll also spot eagles and buzzards soaring above.

Day 04 :

Khongor Sand Dunes

Drive to Khongor Sand Dunes, the largest in Mongolia, known as the “singing sands.” The dunes rise up to 80 meters and stretch for 180 kilometers. Enjoy hiking, sand sliding, and visit a camel-breeding family for a short camel ride.

Day 05 :

Bayanzag – The Flaming Cliffs

Drive to Bayanzag, known as the “Cemetery of Dinosaurs.” The red sandstone cliffs and canyons are famous for dinosaur fossil discoveries made by paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews in 1922. Visit the local museum to learn more about the area’s history.

Day 06 :

Ongi Monastery Ruins

Travel north to the Ongi Monastery ruins in Middle Gobi province. Spend the night at the monastery site.

Day 07 :

Orkhon Waterfall

Drive to the Orkhon Waterfall, formed by volcanic eruptions 20,000 years ago. The waterfall cascades 20 meters and is surrounded by peaceful nature, perfect for walking and exploring.

Day 08 :

Erdene Zuu Monastery in Kharkhorin

Visit Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Explore the Erdene Zuu Monastery, built using stones from the ruins of the old city, which was destroyed by the Manchu soldiers in the 14th century.

Day 09 :

Hustai National Park

Drive to Hustai National Park to see the wild Przewalski horses, the only wild horse species that survived to modern times. The park is home to many animals and birds, including 46 species of mammals.

Day 10 :

Return to Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar, transfer to your hotel, and enjoy free time in the city.
